Bob Kunst wrote:
I'm writing this from the library at Yale, in New Haven, Conn, where
Bush gave the commencement speech on it's 300th Anniversary.

BUSH WAS "BOOED" UPON ENTERING YALE! 100 GRADUATES TURNED THEIR BACKS ON
BUSH, WHILE NEARLY TWO DOZEN
GRADUATES HAD A SLASH ON THEIR CAPS AND A DOZEN
MORE HAD "NO MORE BUSHIT" STICKERS ON THEIR GOWNS!!

ABOUT 200 OF YALE'S FACULTY SIGNED A STATEMENT PLEDGING TO BOYCOTT THE
COMMENCEMENT PROCEEDINGS AND CONDEMNING THE UNIVERSITY'S DECISION TO AWARD
BUSH AN HONORARY DEGREE.

"Bushit" said that anyone with a "C" grade can become pRresident and anyone
who drops out can also become Vice pRresident.

Who better to know this??

The Doctorate came from Yale which lost its mind, soul, and integrity to
give this thief, bum, and all around idiot - an honorary doctorate,
he can't even pronouce!

One protest sign given to me had the 3 monkeys with: hear, see, and report -
No Evil. Titled: "Why is the Corporate Media APE SHIT FOR BUSHIT?"

I had gotten there around 7:30 A.M. and folks were lining up for getting
in and going through security.

I set up at one of the gates with my "Bush Stole The Election" banner
and "No More Bushit" stickers. Local station Channel 8 did a video shot and
the local paper, New Haven Advocate (or was it the Register?),
did an interview with me, while folks came over to thank me for being there
and also getting bumper stickers.

After a 1/2 hour and a very nice talk with 2 Secret Service folks, I moved
to another gate entrance and stood there for a 1/2 hour and again moved to
another spot, where there were some other protesters.

Fox Channel 61 did a video and I was also interviewed by Hartford Courier. I
also met with actor Rene Aubergeron who was starred in "Benson".

This was sort of strange and also nice in that it was like roving
demonstrators, and almost surreal, but also interesting in that all these
folks, no matter which entrance they were at, got a sampling of our
collective dissent and I say no more than 1/2 dozen in the whole time,
were against us.

There are a group of folks wanting to unionize the hospital owned by Yale
and getting nowhere fast, and out protesting with signs "Democracy Means
Freedom From Coercion", and I go next to them and spread out the banners on
the ground, when I'm not posing for the media.

All this next to 1st Church of Christ with its bells slowly tolling and
tolling and tolling. By this time I have the huge banner "Bush Was
Selected and is Illegitimable" on the ground and my table set up with 3
other signs: "Stop Bush", "Wake Up America Bush Stole the Election" and
the ever popular, "Jeb Did Not Have Sex With Those Women While Stealing This
Election."

Now picture a very long line in front of me, then going into a triangle
line back towards campus and in the middle of the field, 2 other large
banners, so that this crowd got these messages like walking in a gallery.

It was cool, but didn't rain.

And by the table, 1500 undergraduates and faculty came by and saw the whole
thing and I'm doing a number on Yale for giving this thief an
honorary degree and would state as such to all the media.

Then I joined with Democracy March and the CLG folks and others, to chant in
front of the crowd trying to get into an entrance I had previously been at,
but here now were about 30 people of the 100 outside and protesting all over
the place.

We chanted loudly including "No More Bushit", "We'll Get Over it, When Bush
is Out","Bush Is A Thief", "Burn The Bushes & Save The Trees," and only a
few retorts towards us.

Fifteen had come in from NYC and 7 from Boston and the rest Locals,
besides Miami Beach and Moi.

I set up the table again and our banners were now held up by several
volunteers and the media came and took pictures, and I recognized 3 of the
media from my last protests against Bushit in Conn., just prior to going to
Quebec.

Meanwhile, I had a lengthy interview with Associated Press with photo, one
with local Ch. 3, again the Hartford Courant and video-taped by several
camera crews, and all the while our buttons and stickers were doing great.

I was meeting with and talking to a lot of folks about doing Oral Majority
chapters and there is a lot of interest.

This is #114 protest since Nov., 7, 2000, I also tell the press about.

Chalk up another wonderful experience of doing what is morally right for our
country, getting media, and raising funds to do what we love to do, and that
is to protest which makes for great therapy and empowers us to go after the
whole stinking mess..

Yours Faithfully
